Into each life
some rain must fall.

For those of us with horses living in areas of the country with persistent wet seasons, it seems as if the rain and mud will never end. Goodbye to those pastoral scenes with lush green meadows and welcome to the mud & swamps of Spring. Worse yet, welcome to an ongoing challenge to keep shoes on your horse, particularly if the horse has cracked, broken, brittle, shelly or damaged hoof walls.

Sound Horse products have been used on horses in wet & muddy conditions for years with great success. We know that they work because we use them year round on our own horses. We are located in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania area and our horses are typically turned out 24/7 on a year round basis. The Sound Horse Sigafoos Series I horseshoes are used on all of our competition horses… not only do they stay on -- but they stay on until you decide to take them off!

Red Mystic, pictured above, is a 3-day event horse. The picture here shows her in the March mud and the conditions of her shoes after nine (9) weeks. She has a relatively slow growing hoof.

When it is time for Red Mystic to be reshod, we take her out of the paddock and into the barn for a clean-up and shoeing. These pictures clearly show what the our Series I shoe looks like after 9 weeks on the hoof with a typical 24/7 turn-out and daily training.
