| Great Questions! The Sound Horse Shoes
have been used for over 10 years on the most competitive of horses. These
questions have been answered frequently but nothing is as useful as a
demonstration. These pictures are typical of what we have seen for years
in a variety of competitive situations. You should expect the same
results. The pictures document the appearance of a hoof that had been
shod with the same shoe for 9+ weeks (Figure 1). The horse was turned out 24/7 in the
snow, rain & mud on the East Coast of the USA. Once Sound Horse shoes are
applied they stay on until you choose to remove them. Your shoeing
interval is no longer controlled by loose nails or missing shoes. You only
shoe your horse when it is time for a trim…. 4, 5, 6, 7, 8+ weeks,
whatever is necessary.
Remove the Sound Horse shoe and you can see the hoof growth that has
occurred – no glue on the sole surface (Figure 2).
The hoof wall is one thing but what about the heels? Take a good look
at the heel on this 8-year old thoroughbred horse – no under-run heels
here (Figure 3).
OK! – Sound Horse shoes stay on for a long time, the hoof wall
and heels grow and there is no detrimental effect from applying the Sound
Horse shoes repeatedly. What does a new shoe look like when applied to the
same horse (Figure 4)? |
